Activities

 This program allows younger children to explore their passions. Each lesson is taught by an experienced high school student who is eager to help young children to explore their passions. 


 

Creative Writing 

 The purpose of this class is to teach younger students the basics of writing for their interests of becoming an author, journalist, or anything among those lines. This class will go over writing tips, grammar, basics used in novels such as world building and creating characters, and will serve as good writing practice for school as well.

Intro to Coding

This course introduces students to core programming concepts through two platforms:

  • Scratch (Grades 3–6): Block‑based coding to build games, animations, and interactive stories.

  • Khan Academy (Grades 6–9): Beginner‑friendly JavaScript and HTML lessons to introduce text‑based programming.

Art: Painting

The purpose of this class is to get an introduction to various art styles from understanding basic shapes in space, perception, color, and perspective. Given the class is online, we can learn this through technological sources as well as using the camera to draw on paper. We will primarily focus on portraits/human shapes, but I am open to explaining other interests as well. We may also use this class to discuss details and emotions that art may mimic. Use those feelings to create your own art too! This class is perfect for those who want to begin their journey in art!

Elementary Math Skills

This course introduces elementary students to foundational math concepts, including number sense, basic operations, fractions, measurement, and geometry. Students will build essential mathematical skills, develop problem-solving and logical thinking abilities, and strengthen their confidence in applying math to real-world situations.

  • This class is intended for Beginner students (Grades 1-3)

Financial Literacy

This class is designed for elementary and middle school students, ideally grades 4–7, who want to learn the basics of money management, saving, budgeting, investing, and smart financial decision-making. No prior financial knowledge is required. The class will focus on making financial literacy simple, interactive, and age-appropriate through examples, discussions, games, and real-world scenarios.

Earth Science

This course introduces students to basic concepts of earth science for rising 6th graders.

Students do not need prior knowledge of earth Science to take this class.

Basic Biology

This course introduces middle school students to basic biology concepts, including cells, body systems, plants, and ecosystems to prepare for High school Biology. Students will build foundational science knowledge, develop observation and critical thinking skills, and strengthen their understanding of how living things function and interact in the natural world.

3D CAD

This class introduces students to 3D CAD design using Onshape or SOLIDWORKS. Students will learn how to create 3D models, use basic design tools, and think like engineers through fun hands-on projects. We will cover sketching, dimensions, and building simple parts and assemblies. No prior CAD experience is required.

6th Grade Math

 This course is designed as an overview of key 6th grade mathematics concepts aligned with Georgia state standards. Students will strengthen problem-solving skills, mathematical reasoning, and confidence while exploring topics such as operations with fractions and decimals, ratios and percentages, expressions and equations, geometry, coordinate planes, and introductory algebraic thinking. The class is intended for upper elementary and middle school students interested in reviewing foundational math concepts or preparing for 6th grade math coursework. Students should have a basic understanding of multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals before joining the course. 

Elementary Math Skills

This course is designed to help students understand the basic foundations of math concepts taught in elementary. Students should have a basic understanding of multiplication and division facts before starting this class. Throughout the course, students will learn and build confidence in their skills in topics including, long multiplication, long division, decimals and place value, rounding, fractions, time, and geometry. 

  • This class is intended for advanced students (Grades 4-5)

  • It will be for 5 weeks, 2 times a week

Spanish

This class is for students, mostly in grades 5-7, to build a basic foundation to learn Spanish in the future to help their future. For this class, students do not need any background knowledge, but just the passion to learn a new language. Although most students who need this class will be in grades 5-7, I think this class should be open to all students that are interested.

French

Students will be able to carry out basic conversations, understand text, and write in French.

Crochet

 Learn how to crochet and make basic structures, which can later be used to make anything you want! No prior knowledge is needed, however some yarn and crochet hook is required. For a beginner class, I recommend getting basic supplies from stores like dollar tree or Michaels. Content may be easier to understand for older kids, but anybody is welcome!
